I wrote about using more loose leaf tea in THIS POST sharing my new IngenuiTEA teapot and while I was in the States I purchased several tins of Twinings loose tea. Although I was in the U.S. the actual location where I found this delicious tea was in "England" in Disney World's Epcot. I chose some Darjeeling, some Earl Grey, and some English Breakfast. They are all amazing and I'm really enjoying some of the best cups of tea I've ever made...seriously! (...and I'm of British blood with English parents and most of my extended family living in Great Britain so I have had some darn good cuppas!)
I also picked up some boxes of teabags from Twinings, in flavours I'd never seen before. They included Earl Grey Extra Bold, Earl Grey Honey & Vanilla, Earl Grey Jasmine, and Earl Grey Lavender. I enjoyed them all, especially the Honey & Vanilla and Jasmine varieties, but sadly, they are not available in Canada. I even searched when I was in Vegas, to no avail, and called the company (these flavours were not available for purchase on-line). Now the last teabags are almost gone and I'm currently out of luck. I hope the company will eventually make these wonderful flavours available everywhere.
I have been researching further tips on how to prepare the perfect cup of tea and have enjoyed watching a couple videos featuring Stephen Twinings himself, a tenth generation Twining and leading tea experts. Here's one to get you started if you're interested in the proper way to make a good pot (or cup!) of tea! Twinings has been making tea for over 300 years so I think they are qualified to share how to do just that...
