I have wanted a text print fabric in my stash for a long time and since I had a credit from Connecting Threads, and I really loved their Chalk Line by Sue Marsh for RJR Fabrics, I ordered some yardage of Fun Fonts (white) and Typed Words (black). I also like Sayings in Chalk, but it was on back-order when I placed my order. I did add The Chalk Line fat quarter sampler because I find it useful to have some co-ordinating fabric. Most of the sampler is made up of complimentary Quilter's Candy basics (Connecting Threads' own line), including greys, blacks, and reds in solids and prints.
CT fat quarter samplers, as I wrote in my 'Folding Fat Quarters' post, arrive in a flat bundle so I immediately pressed and folded them to stay on top of my fabric organizing. I think the quality of the fabric is even nicer now as I was able to feel each cut as I folded it. It is smooth and soft, with a nice hand and weight. This is the last order of fabric I have coming and I have resolved in 2015 to use what I have on hand for any new projects. No more fabric purchases for me, at least not until I have emptied some of the bins I have stacked around my workshop! Tomorrow I'm sharing a new book that just might help me use up some scraps and fat quarters I have in my stash.
