I tried to watch Breaking Bad when it first launched on AMC in 2008 but I never seemed to have time to get into it - too busy with life and devoted to Mad Men on Sunday nights.
But this summer we got Netflix and committed to catching up with the Emmy award winning series. We definitely had some binge-tv marathons where we felt we'd become one with the couch, but it was just too hard to turn off the drama with the next episode just a click away.
It doesn't take too long to become absorbed with the violent and illegal world of Walt and Jesse - and all the characters affected by their meth cooking pursuits and then you can't wait to see what will happen next. (Last summer we watched Downton Abbey...can't get 2 more different shows! lol!) If you aren't already obsessed with the show I highly recommend you add it to your playlist. While the storylines are obviously incredibly well-written and very exciting to watch unfold, for me at least, it is the relationship between Walter and Mr. Pinkman that intrigues me the most. The acting is just incredible and there is no doubt that both Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are totally deserving of the multiple Emmys they each have won.
We are now officially caught up and it has been worth the $$$$ internet overage charges from using Netflix to be able to watch the current, final episodes on AMC each Sunday. The only problem with binge watching a series is that you become very spoiled and have a hard time going a whole week to get to the next show! It's also like finishing a good book - when this season ends Breaking Bad I'm going to really, really miss Jesse!
