Uh-oh! Craftsy has done it again! I just discovered that there is a NEW Craftsy Block-of-the-Month class for 2013!
Like last year, this class is TOTALLY FREE! The 2012 version was such a blast and it was great to learn a new technique and block design each
month. I'm so happy they have decided to do it again! This time our instructor is Laura Nownes.
We are going to learn a whole sampler quilt's-worth of interesting new techniques, including working with 60 degree angles in a tumbling block, 'Y' seams, as well as hand and machine applique! I'm really excited!
The fabric collections for this year's quilt are both by Robert Kaufman: Spot On and Metro Living. Craftsy is offering special deals on the quilt top kit and the backing fabric. Of course, I ordered both right away before they sold out and can't wait to get them so I can get started!
Even though I have so much I want to do this year with my quilting and crafting, I think I can squeeze in a monthly block in order to have this quilt completed by next December! If you'd like to join me in this FREE class, simply click on the Craftsy Daily Deal link to the right of this post to go directly to Craftsy. You will have access to the Daily Deal and all the on-line classes where you can sign up for the block of the month course 2013 (if you haven't taken Amy Gibson's 2012 BOM, you can still sign up for that one too!).
Hi. Followed you here from Missouri Star Forum. It's good to have a friend to talk to about this class. What fabrics did you choose? I am taking a lot of the same classes that you are. Hope to see you there.

I signed up for the class! Who knows when I'll ever get to it, but I love Craftsy classes and I like that it's free! :) I wasn't a fan of the fabric though. I know they say dots are a quilter's staple, but I am not much of a dots person. I am in a fabric of the month club and I always get annoyed when the fabric pack includes a bunch of dots. :)
