Remember that nice, new, shiny iron I bought? It's my pressing pride 'n joy but unfortunately, on the first day I used it, it got dirty. I was using my teflon pressing cloth and it had some leftover adhesive on it. This in turn stuck to the sole plate and gummed up the stainless steel surface.
Luckily, I bought this Dritz Iron-Off Hot Iron Cleaner to remove the build-up and keep my iron looking and working great. You simply rub the paste onto the hot iron using a thick folded cloth. It is non-flammable (good thing!), non-toxic, and non-abrasive. The cleaner removes starch, fusible webs (oops, did you iron the wrong side?), and detergents.
My iron wasn't very expensive but I do want to keep it in good shape and having this Hot Iron Cleaner is the perfect product for the job.
