Ok, I just signed up for YET ANOTHER Craftsy course!!! I am seriously ADDICTED! As soon as I finish one class I go into withdrawl and find another one...they keep offering such interesting classes I can't resist!
This class is Beyond Basic Machine Quilting. I was torn between this class and another taught by Ann Petersen, Quilting Big Projects on a Small Machine...but this one won out. Even though I have some experience with free-motion quilting, I'm still frustrated at my technique. I want to keep at it until I improve and this class seems perfectly tailored to help me do just that. I can't wait to get started!!!
We get to make a pretty larger sampler wall hanging and practice all the beautiful new stitches on it. I am looking forward to getting more quilt marking hints and all the reviews of this class rave about Ann's teaching ability. Maybe she can help me get better!
The other exciting thing is I got the button for you guys to save 50% off the class if you want to take it too. Just click on the link for the class to the right of this post and you'll save. Craftsy just keeps getting better and better and I'm excited to be a part of that. Just so you know, I've paid for all the classes I've taken and just really want to promote this way of learning - it has opened up so much for me in and I am so thankful for this experience!!!!! At this stage in my life I have a bit more time for myself when everyone is busy and I would go crazy if I didn't have something to enrich my mind and stimulate my creativity. It's so nice to have something that I can refer to anytime without any pressure of time constraints or deadlines. "Forever" is plenty of time for me to take the classes so I'm buying them when they are on sale because I know I can get to ALL the projects at some point as my schedule allows! Happy crafting! :) I have to go watch my lessons now...
I'm glad to hear you're taking this class - I've looked at it and initially I thought it covered too many basics that I've heard in several classes, but I looked at the projects and it's looking more interesting! So please do one of your reviews for us. I'll wait until I hear your review before I sign up -- I'm focusing on UFOs right now .... well except for the bag I started last night. But it was supposed to be quick ....
