I have had problems with homemade cards sent in the mail never arriving and I wonder if the pop-up adhesives I used on some of the layers were the culprits, jamming up the sorting machines at the post office. There is a template at the post office that you can use to check the thickness of your envelopes and in the case of your card exceeding that width you can request hand-canceling to ensure delivery.
To avoid that hassle completely I now make "no layer" cards to send, like this one going to my cousin overseas. It is the epitome of simple, yet kind of elegant in its own way. I stamped the dragonfly in River Rock on a Whisper White card stock base and then used a rub-on for the greeting. Nice 'n flat!
