I have wanted this crystal setter for ages but decided to wait until after Christmas to buy it (just in case an elf was thinking about getting it!). It costs about $35 but I got it for 50% off and I picked up a couple of packs of the crystals as well.
The Crystallizer (by Crystallizer Designs) is electric and comes with a stand and 6 different tips. You can use it to add the 'Fashion Hot Fix Embellishments (the heat-set crystals) to garments, shoes, purses, gloves, cards, etc. The hot tip melts the glue on the crystals in about 10-20 seconds and securely attaches them - they can even be machine washed!!
I don't think I'll be "be-crystalling" my clothes any time soon but I do think gluing these pretty crystals sparingly to my art quilts will really add something special. I can also imagine lots of opportunities to fit them into my embroidery on bags and other home decor pieces! Fun, fun!
