Here is the first block for this year's Craftsy Block of the Month class. After completing all the blocks for last year's quilt, an off-set log cabin seemed really easy!
Laura Nownes only has us doing one block each month (where Amy Gibson had us do two) so it didn't take long to get this put together. Laura also uses chain piecing and we were able to get all 4 required blocks done at the same time.
The fabric choices are not specifically identified in the instructions and I couldn't quite tell from the video which white Laura was using. I took a gamble when she answered a question saying she'd used the white polka dot fabric for this block. However, I used the small polka dot and she used the large. She told me not to worry about it as there would be plenty of fabric in my kit for future blocks.
If you'd like to join the monthly fun and try making a sampler quilt using all the different quilting block making techniques shared throughout the year, it is FREE to join! Simply click on the banner to the right of this post to go directly to Craftsy to register. Have fun!

Well I really like how your block turned out! I wasn't much of a fan of those fabrics at first but the Log Cabin looks great!
