For the last 2 years, in addition to my regular family scrapbook album, I have been keeping a quick overview calendar album as well. Last year I used a larger 11x14" PicFolio album but for 2011 I'm going back to the 8x8" size. I chose the Winter Wonderland Quick Kit (Creative Memories) because I love the blue album colour and the pre-decorated pages are so pretty. Because all the pages are ready to go it makes the project fast and easy - which is what I want for this diary-type album. After I create the title page (here I just cut the 2011 with the Creative Cuts system and scrap paper and added some 3-D embellishments), I like to get all the calendar mats pre-numbered and titled so I started with 4.5x6.5" ruled Calendar Mats and added Calendar Month Titles stickers (CM), and then the dates with a black pen. I keep the calendars on a mini-Everyday Display and update them throughout the month with details of our busy schedules. Then after the month is over, I adhere the mat to a page, add
some of the Quick Kit supplied 3-D accents and stickers to decorate the pages further, plus a few photos highlighting the month (of course), and slip the completed page into the pocket of the album. Done! In no time, the year is over and the album is already finished.
